On a gray and drizzly January morning in 1987, the doorbell rings at the Atlanta home of socialite Lita McClinton Sullivan.


She opens the door to what she thought was a delivery man bearing a box of beautiful long-stemmed roses.


Instead, he came, bearing bullets.
