When David Birnie and Catherine Harrison meet as children, they are drawn together by their mutually chaotic and dysfunctional home lives.
Through the years, the couple have an on and off relationship marked by a life of crime and insatiable sexual appetites, making it impossible to stay away from each other.
However, for the pair that would ultimately be dubbed as the Most Violent Couple in Australia’s history, what ultimately keeps them together, is their passion for murder.

He would convince Catherine to help him satisfy both urges; the shabby house on 3 Moorhouse Street where Catherine and David would eventually assault and murder their victims; Victim #1, Mary Neilson, lured to 3 Moorhouse Street under the pretense of buying cheap tires from David; Victim #2, Susie Candy, accepted a ride home from she thought was a nice couple, only to be murdered; David took a liking to victim #3, the beautiful and sophisticated Noelene Patterson, which infuriated Catherine; Victim #4, Denise Brown also accepted a ride home from the "nice" couple, only to be assaulted and murdered; 17-year-old Kate Moir was intended to be David and Catherine's fifth murder victim; however, she was able to escape through a bedroom window. She later later gave investigators key evidence leading to the couple's arrest and later conviction.
